I started thinking about something today....
Portuguese Sweet Bread.
You can't get in Alabama....we are famous for greasy buttery melt in your mouth biscuits. But not Portuguese Sweet Bread.
I remember going to my VoVo's house (great grandmother who was from Portugal) when I was a little girl living in Fall River Massachusetts. She would slice a piece off the loaf for me and my brother and toast it just perfect and then smother it in butter and sugar!!!
I still can remember the smell of her house :)
So, here is a recipe and instead of dousing it with sugar try a little drizzle of Honey!
