Since I was a little girl I have always loved the movie Steel Magnolias. I remember living in RI thinking that one day I would live in a little town in the south and have a historical old house and sit on my front porch and sip on tea, watch the sun go down rocking on a weathered rocking chair while my kids played in the grass....
I love old cottage looking things so when ever I am at a thrift store, antique store or yard sales things pop out that look like that. I found this girl who makes old/used things look really pretty. I love that idea...she calls it Upcycled! A mug that maybe no one wanted and now look at it. Everyone needs something pretty, and Upcycled :)

Okay it has been a long time since I have seen that movie!! I loved it loved it loved it!! I have several favorite quotes and scenes!

ReplyDeleteI think Ouiser has the best quotes! I love the whole scene, but a line that sticks out that I can quote correctly at 10:51 pm is:
"I can't get enough grease into my diet"
I do like this line, however inappropriate:
Ouiser cuts the end off the armadillo and give it to Drum:
"Nothing like a good piece of a**" : )
